Today, I want to share some quotes from my book, Red Roses. There are so many memorable lines in this book that it was nearly impossible to select a few to share. If any of these resonate with you, I encourage you to take the time to read this incredible story.
"I didn’t earn the name firecracker for no reason. In college, I didn’t have a care in the world. Life was easy. I was confident, fearless, and happy. Then, my parents died, and all of that changed. I learned a big lesson about life. It’s good until it’s not."
"Taking a break from the dead helped me remember I was a part of the living."
"Whenever I spent time with the girls, they had a way of helping me get out of my funk. Genuine friends are not overrated. My girls are the best. Though, I could be biased from my deep affection for them."
"I have no idea which way this could go. It could leave me scarred for the rest of my life."
"Fear is the beginning of wisdom."
"Standing alone gave me a false sense of strength. When in fact, strength comes from having people in your life who accept you and allow you to be vulnerable. That is where you learn the most about yourself."
"This has been soul-shaking. I didn’t question my parents because I trusted them. I knew that if I couldn’t trust anyone in this world, I could trust them."
"Friends are the family you choose."
