When I edit, I typically sit at my desk. But when I write, I get comfortable in my office on the sofa or in bed. Writing is mental and emotional. Space matters, and if you don't get it right, it will stifle your creativity.
It doesn't matter what kind of writer you are; your space determines your productivity and creativity. If you don't already have a room dedicated to expressing your creativity, find one and make it yours. If you don't have an extra room, find a space. Heck, I would write in a walk-in closet if it encouraged my creativity. lol
Find a space, grab a comfy throw, a cup of coffee, tea, or wine--your choice, and start turning those stories out. Make your space personal. Make it your sanctuary. In the picture below, I only lay here to write when I'm home alone. It's a great space that gives me comfortable which in turn allows me to be productive and creative.
Happy Writing
